Dell has been doing it, and its about time a few other companies do too. The Green Team at iTechz.Net is in the process of a carbon emission off-set project at our main location, planting trees and shrubs to help off-set the carbon emissions from our employees cars, and power usage.

iTechz, LLC is proud to also confirm that we use a partial clean energy power source, supplied from Florida Power and Light and the Turkey Point Nuclear Power Plant, which has 2 nuclear reactors running the clean, and semi-safe nuclear fission reactors. To supplement the nuclear power, they also have the less environmentally friendly fossil fuel plant, but it is a step in the right direction.

We encourage the use of carbon off-setting practices, as they do lessen the dent of our problems now.

We are pleased to say that our outside renovations for the iTechz back office is almost complete. We have planted a total of 5 new trees, transplated one, and added various other shrubs.

We are now taking steps to help make our interior more efficient and environmentally friendly.

More news on our overhaul shortly.

The Green Team has successfully accomplished its goal of sprucing up the exterior of our offices, with 6 new trees, all native to the local area, and arranging a small brush area with native plants as well. We also effectively have cut back on our cooling costs, and are researching ways to trim energy usage from our systems. We have changed all the interior and many of the exterior light-bulbs to CFL's (Compact Florescent Lights) which effectively cut our lighting costs in half, and enrolled in our local recycling program, featuring home-pickups of all recyclable goods (paper, plastic, aluminum, tin, and glass) and are separating our aluminum can's for drop off at the metal recycling center to help offset our daily soda intake costs! We are also cutting down on wasted energy by turning off unnecessary equipment whenever possible.

We strive to set the example that even a technology company can be environmentally efficient.
